Significant things that have happened means things that change the course of history. That does not necessarily mean day to day events in a war. It does mean larger trends or remarkable events. It does not mean opinion, reaction, responses or speculation about a future possibility. I live in the UK but have a global outlook. I'm not interested in domestic governmental affairs of Australia or New Zealand. - I want to pieces I will enjoy diving into while drinking my coffee. - I want pieces that are thoughtful or useful. I want to expand my thinking and understanding. It can be on anything: arts, economics, media, science, transport etc. - Avoid opinion, reaction, breaking news, commentary, thinkpieces, controversy, hyperbole, 'how-to' guides or anything that appears to be clickbait. -I'm interested in any of the following: - My favourite tech bloggers: Ben Evans, Stratechery, Bits about Money etc. - Useful machine learning research on recommendation algorithms, recommender systems (RecSys), natural language understanding. - Media news, analysis, consumer media habits and preferences, media diet, curation, social media usage (Nieman Lab, Pew). Avoid self-congratulatory press releases and PR fluff. - How to build an early stage consumer product, finding product market fit, prototyping, validation. NOT random product launches or job postings. - Do not include tech career advice. - Want something I'll enjoy reading, watching or listening to. - Enjoy music, the arts, food. - Want reviews of new music, want to stay up to date. - Not so interested in news or announcements Interested in football, tennis, sailing, climbing, cycling. I support Norwich City. If there are football highlights include them. Not interested at all in American sports.
